This is truly a special musical encounter between two world-class performers – guitar master and vocalist Hernan Romero (USA) and saxophone virtuoso Kęstutis Vaiginis (Lithuania). Their project “Strings and Air” is a journey through musical genres, cultures, and emotions, where the heat of flamenco, the improvisation of jazz, the elegance of classical music, and the expressiveness of contemporary styles all intertwine.

Grammy Award winner Hernan Romero has visited Lithuania multiple times, enchanting audiences not only with his virtuoso technique and passionate Southern musical flair but also with his sincerity, smile, and warmth.
His work fuses flamenco, jazz, and R&B genres, and his career is impressive:
- Began his music career in New York and quickly gained recognition
- Collaborated with John McLaughlin, Paco de Lucía, and Al Di Meola
- Recorded projects with artists such as Alicia Keys
- Released several solo albums showcasing a broad stylistic range
KĘSTUTIS VAIGINIS
A Lithuanian saxophonist and composer who studied in the Netherlands and the USA, Kęstutis has been surprising audiences for years with original compositions and ambitious international projects.
Among his stage partners are global jazz stars such as:
- David Kikoski, Mike Stern, Leni Stern, Jonathan Blake, Donald Edwards, Boris Kozlov
- Barbara Dennerlein, Daniel Messina, Ed Howard, Alex Sipiagin, and others
His concert geography spans from the USA, New York, Japan, China, Malaysia, to Azerbaijan and South Africa. His playing is uniquely enriched by Latin American and African musical influences.
After a few years of creative pause, Hernan and Kęstutis return to the stage with new ideas and compositions. The duo shares their accumulated experience, emotions, and energy, creating an organic musical blend that reflects their cultural diversity and musical mastery.
